Our Mission is to provide the
experience of the performing arts as a cultural enhancement to the
peoples of north Texas through participation and patronage in the
production of live stage theatre as an educational and cultural
endeavor.
From its beginning in 2002, the mission of the all-volunteer Red
River Community Theatre has been to revive the presence of the
performing arts for adult participation in an area that had not
enjoyed that cultural benefit on a sustained basis since the early
1940s.
The Red River Theatre Company, Inc. is a Texas non-profit
501(c)3 community theatre organization established in 2001. It is
governed and operated by a Board of Directors of all volunteers with a
faithful contingent of volunteers who assist us during productions as
actors and staff. Fully 100% of our income from ticket sales and
donations is reinvested in theatre equipment and the production of
plays.
We are supported by the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism
Division, the Windom School Memorial Foundation who gifted us with our
permanent theatre facility, local news media as well as the generous
patrons and local businesses who have granted RRCT assistance with
funding to renovate the school auditorium of the facility enjoyed by
both the RRCT staff and our patrons.

History
In its six year history, RRCT has increased its patron base from a
handful of curious souls in the immediate Bonham area to a solid 400
to 600 people in attendance for each onstage production. The number
is steadily increasing and is bringing an increasing number of loyal
patrons from nearby and distant counties. RRCT's pool of actors,
musicians and production staff has evolved from a handful of people
putting on plays to a multiplicity of talent, skills and expertise.
The RRCT stage has welcomed more than 100 local actors, including a
number of first-timers.
