Red River Community Theatre is a registered Texas Nonprofit
organization, authorized by IRS Code 501(c)3 to accept contributions
that may be deductible as a charitable contribution on your personal
or business income tax. RRCT appreciates and generously acknowledges
all contributors on its website. We received our permanent 501(c)3
letter of determination after 5 years of earning the right to operate
as a nonprofit corporate organization. (EIN No. 75-2959814)
Contributions to the Red River Community Theatre Windom School
Building Fund are used exclusively for improvements and renovations to
the 1924 vintage school building to enhance its theatre facility to
provide safe and comfortable accommodations for patrons and for the
technical equipment required of a performing arts facility.
Contributions may be undesignated, or for the purchase of specific
items.
Undesignated contributions to Red River Community Theatre are used
exclusively to defray the expenses inherent in the production of
quality stage plays and stage events. Royalties, costumes, props,
sets, cost of advertising and promotion, printing and supplies are
some of these expenses.
RRCT is solely supported by private contributions and the proceeds
from ticket sales. Ticket prices include Texas state, county and city
sales tax.
Volunteers
Did you know that the staff of the Red River Community
Theatre is comprised of only a handful of volunteers who are providing
live stage theatre for Fannin County? More people are needed who
believe in what we are doing and interested in joining us in our
effort if we are to continue to provide theatre for our community.
The Red River Community Theatre staff invites you to
join us in the exciting world of live stage theatre! Learn to make
actors look older, younger, more beautiful...or even ugly...with
theatrical makeup and hair designing. With hot glue, velcro, duct
tape and fabric paint, you can turn a rag into a ball gown or a
baseball cap into a top hat, and make a size 4 fit a size 14.
Costumers have more fun than the actors.
Gathering props is like a scavenger hunt for the old,
the new, the unusual in unique places searching for everything from
cupcakes to cap pistols, wine bottles to ink wells. Learn to set the
mood with lights and enhance the action with sound from our special
effects booth, a skill that few get a chance to experience.
Enhance the excitement, the mystery, the hilarity and
the dialogue on the stage with musical accompaniment and sound
effects.
